About Us

A direct way to sell your Westchester business

Sell My Business Westchester is a private acquisition and referral service. We buy businesses for our own account, and when we are not the right buyer, we introduce owners to vetted buyers who are. That is the entire business.

A quiet office where confidential sale conversations happen

Why we exist

Selling a business is something most owners do exactly once. The buyer on the other side of the table, whether it is a broker, a competitor, or a private equity firm, has usually done it dozens of times. That imbalance shapes everything about the traditional process: the listing, the commission, the months of quiet marketing while your employees wonder why strangers keep touring the building.

We started this service because we kept meeting Westchester owners who wanted something simpler. A straight answer about what their business is worth to a real buyer. A confidential conversation that does not end up as gossip at the chamber of commerce. A path to closing that respects the fact that they still have a company to run.

What we do, and what we never do

Two things. First, we buy businesses directly. When an owner's company fits our criteria, we make our own offer, with our own capital, and we can move quickly. Second, when a business is better served by another buyer, we make one introduction to someone we have vetted: a strategic acquirer, a private equity group, or an individual operator looking in that industry.

What we never do is just as important. We are not business brokers. We do not take listings, we do not charge sellers commissions, and we do not blast your business across marketplaces. We do not represent you in a transaction, and we always encourage sellers to have their own attorney and accountant review any deal.

Rooted in Westchester

We work across Westchester County and nowhere else. We know the difference between a Main Street retailer in Mount Kisco and a route-based service business out of Hartsdale, between a restaurant on Mamaroneck Avenue and a light manufacturer near the New Rochelle waterfront.

That local focus matters when you are selling. The value of a Westchester business is tied to its territory, its lease, its workforce, and its reputation in a specific community. A buyer who understands the county prices those things correctly. One who does not will discount them.

How we make money

Two ways, and both are disclosed plainly. When we buy a business ourselves, we make money by owning and operating it well. When we introduce another buyer and a sale results, that buyer may pay us a referral fee. Sellers never pay us anything, and an offer from us never obligates you to accept it.

We would rather pass on a deal than force a bad one. Our reputation in this county is the only asset this business truly has.

Start with a confidential conversation.

No cost. No obligation. No one finds out you asked.
