Questions
Common questions
The questions every owner asks before they contact us, answered the way we would answer them across a table.
Before you reach out
Most owners spend months thinking about a sale before they talk to anyone. That is normal, and talking to us does not commit you to anything. Roughly half the conversations we have end with the owner deciding to wait, and we consider that a good outcome when it is the right one.
If you are earlier than ready, our page on what your business is worth explains how buyers actually price companies, which is useful whether you sell this year or in five.
Questions
Common questions
Will my employees or customers find out?
Not from us. There is no listing, no advertisement, and no contact with anyone connected to your business. Buyers in our network sign confidentiality agreements before receiving identifying details, and they learn your company's name only when you approve it.
How fast can a sale actually happen?
For a direct purchase of a straightforward business, a matter of weeks is realistic once numbers are shared. Introductions to network buyers typically take longer, since the buyer runs their own diligence. Either way, you get an honest timeline with your answer within one business day.
What size businesses do you buy?
Our direct purchases focus on profitable main-street and lower-middle-market businesses across Westchester County: service companies, retail, food and hospitality, light manufacturing, and route-based businesses. If your business is larger or highly specialized, our buyer network is usually the better path, and we will tell you that plainly.
Do I need my financials organized before I contact you?
No. The first conversation needs only a rough picture: what you do, approximate revenue, and what the business earns for you. Organized statements matter later, and we will tell you exactly which documents matter and which do not.
What if I am not sure I want to sell?
That is the most common starting point we hear. A conversation costs you nothing and commits you to nothing. Many owners simply want to know what their options and approximate value look like, and we are glad to provide that even when the answer is to wait.
Do you charge sellers anything?
Never. No consultation fee, no valuation fee, no commission. When we buy, we profit from owning the business. When we refer, the buyer pays any fee. See our full explanation on the cost page.
Are you business brokers?
No. We buy businesses for our own account and make referrals to vetted buyers. We do not take listings, do not represent sellers, and always encourage you to have your own attorney and accountant review any transaction.
What happens after I submit the form?
A person, not an autoresponder, reviews your inquiry and replies within one business day. The reply tells you honestly whether your business fits our direct buying criteria, fits a buyer in our network, or neither, with the reasoning included.
Start with a confidential conversation.
No cost. No obligation. No one finds out you asked.
